Rise in Spirit Community Arts Center is a not-for-profit whose goal is to connect and create community hubs for other nonprofits to elevate lives through creative expression.
The Spirit of Huntington Art Center is a 501(c)3 that ignites the passion of students of all ages and all abilities for creative expression that transforms lives.
Our Center is built on a foundation of love that fosters problem-solving and free expression that can help nurture students of all ages through educational and pre-vocational training in our structured, safe environment.
One of our most popular programs, ArtABILITY, presents a set of weekly activites including art, clay, music and movement classes. These are a series of classes that introduce students to the lives of famous artists and the challenges they overcame through their art.

We believe that all individuals have the right, to the extent of their ability, to live in the community and enjoy the benefits and amenities of living in society.
Our residences offer improved services and innovative programming and treatment techniques so that each resident may be given the opportunity to:
• Develop active daily living skills
• Develop creatively, motivated by the need and desire for self-improvement.
• Develop interpersonal relationships that promote social trust and personal growth.
• Live in dignity in a minimally restricted setting so as to enable them to function independently and constructively
Our progressive program ArtWORKS helps educate those who have aged out of the school districts and assist in developing their digital art and graphic design skills. ArtWORKS is an innovative program enrolling students in digital art and design courses, offering graduates a path to careers with companies that utilize media design skills. Students receive hands-on training through experiential learning in today’s world to complete courses in graphic design.
At NSD our goal is to create a warm and nurturing environment were dancers and families feel home.
As all of our teachers at NSD were young dancers once too, we understand the process and feelings associated. We want each child to enjoy dance as we did and do. There is nothing more satisfying to train these young ladies and gentleman from babies and marvel at how talented they have become over the years with hard work and dedication put forth.
While every child learns and progresses differently, we want to foster their growth with their parents help. Lines of communication are always opened and welcomed to discuss progress and give feedback.
While every child has different wants and needs, we are pleased to offer three programs at NSD; Recreational, Company and competition.
